Trying to get him to attempt booting it with one stick of ram, but he said he got dizzy when he first opened the lid. LOL. He wasn't able to remove the motherboard 20+4 pin cable to reseat it either.
Most likely he will bring it to a local computer shop to figure it out.
This is the kind of heatsink that is mounted with a screw and nut. It's pretty damn secure!
Also, I had a good support placed between the side lid and cpu fan to prevent moving during transit.
All the fans spin maybe one rotation and then stop. Clearing the CMOS was my last resort but I don't have much a choice since it won't even boot up after everything.
We are going to perform the CMOS reset later tonight.
No, everything was mounted and connected properly prior to the installation of software. I even disconnected it from one room and brought it into another room to perform several power up tests and ran some applications to make sure I could discover any faults before sending it on the shipping...
I have a small check list:
1. PSU switched on. check!
2. PSU cable plugged in firmly. check!
3. PSU cable plugged directly into outlet. check!
4. re-seat GPU. check!
5. re-seat motherboard power 20+4 pin. next
6. re-seat memory. next
7. re-seat cpu power 4+4 pin. next
8. clear CMOS? :(
